MY DAY TO DAY MUSICAL LIFE

in AFRI-TUNES11 days ago
Music is simply beautiful. I sometimes imagine a life without music, and that certainly is not a life for me. I just cannot imagine myself apart from music. Music is part of my everyday life, so much so that I dedicate more time to music than most other things in my life. Come to think of it now, the only thing that takes more time than music as far as my everyday life is concerned is my job. Notwithstanding, I still wish I could have more time for my musical life.

There are so many things to tell you about my relationship with music. Since this post will be directed to my daily musical routine, there will be a kind of summary of the whole gist. I will as much as I can narrate my daily musical activities in this post, but for obvious reasons, it will only be a summary.

I AND MY PLAYLIST

I love playing music, and I have categorised my playlist manually in such a way that it suites whichever moment it is meant for. As I wake up in the morning I prefer to begin my day with easy going gospel music. With respect to this fact, it is always the case that I play the likes of Hillsong, GUC, Maverick City Music and some others. This for me is a way of beginning with God for the day. After getting ready for work, I turn off my music box to face another phrase of the day. At work we have a bigger music box , it is always the case that who ever connects his or her Bluetooth first play's. I am certainly not always the first, but sometimes I am. It is the case that I do not always have the time to play, but when ever I do, it is accustic, r&b and folks all the way. The likes of Jonny Drill, Pink Sweat, Asa and a some others comes to play here. Though it is not there regular, but there have never been a time my colleagues fail to vibe to my afternoon playlist. The next phase of my musical playlist is the nights. Once I am back from work, I fall back to the power of good music. This time, I listen to those music that most may not like. At this point the likes of Cavemen, Wizard Cham, PC Lapez and some other core Afro singers come to play. I love Afro-music and these guys certainly gives the vibe I love most...

SPECIAL MUSICAL DAYS

There are days that I have specific musical functions. This means that I attend to these functions after work every of the day that has been set aside. The first is my church choir practice, it have become the case that I attend to choir practice every Wednesdays and Saturdays. I almost do not miss it for any reason as I am currently the Parish Choir master. This entails that 6pm to 8pm every Wednesday and Saturday belong to the choir. Aside the choir, Mondays and Fridays are another days set aside for musical functions. These days are supposed to be for personal practice, but I have got few others who currently joined me in this practice. After meeting with me to ask for keyboard training, I asked Chukwubuikem and Omimi to join me every Monday and Friday for this supposed personal practice. Of course Sunday is always a special day, as it is the day we sing praises to our creator in his house. Due the nature of my work, it is also the only day I have to myself.

CONCLUSION

So far, I have given what I consider as to be the summary of my day to day musically life. There are certainly lot more to mention as there are times when these routines are altered by something probably more interesting. That aside, I love music and I will always do. Sometimes I wish I have more time to dedicate to music and that is certainly part of my project for this year. Thank you so much for finding time to read about my musical life. I am indeed greatful.

Thanking God with music in the morning is the best routine, I love that.

Thank you so much @samolaj

You're welcome

Music is very important in our day to day life. It gives us motivation to keep on going and it is what we need at times to bring us from a bad mood to a good and brighter mood.
