Not being just a consumer in the world of music gives one the opportunity to explore. Beyond the fact that there are numerous social benefits attached, it gives one the opportunity to encounter the world. It gives one the chance to meet people and to go places in some cases. Another benefit of musical competence is that it enhances self expression. With music presenting you to people and places, you will be given the opportunity to express yourself in their mist. You can by extension learn the act of becoming bold and eloquent.

The most important benefit of being musically competent is the fact that it helps one become musically appreciative.

It is all about the one who wishes to become musical, he or she must first be passionate about music. It is by being passionate that one will see the need to learn. Given that music demands regular practice from the one who wishes to become musical, it is that same passion that will give a learner the strength to undergo the regorios practice that is required of him or her. As a matter of fact, even when a person must have acquired musical knowledge, the possibility of really becoming musical is dependent on how much practice that was put in after the knowledge must have been acquired. It could even be said that musical knowledge is really acquired after it must have been perfected through practice.

Music is good and it really pays to know whatever is possible about it. As a matter of fact, there are so many things to learn about music, so much so that no one can speak of understanding music entirely. That notwithstanding, it pays to be more than just a consumer in the world of music.
