The year 2024 is a remarkable year for me and marks a milestone in my music journey. One of the best thing i enjoyed this year was how indeed music can inspire someone and how music can be soul lifting aside its entertaining, educative and communicative side. Music which is the combination of sounds pleasant to the hearing can elate and brings healings. This year compared to the previous years, i enjoyed good and transformative music and in addition, it's been a good year with music playing a good part. In this year 2024, i came across some good music piece with good vibes and rich lyrical contents. Here are my top 3 best songs for this year together with their impart in me:
- YAHWEH SABAOTH
Yahweh sabaoth means the "Lord of Host" which describes the majesty, omnipotence and sovereignty of God over all things and over every situations. This is a song by Nathaniel Bassey who is a great gospel music artiste in Nigeria, Africa. My first encounter with this song was during the 2023 cross over service into the year 2024 and from then till now, it has been one of my favorite. I love the lyrical content, the instrumentation (been an instrumentalist myself) and the vocal dexterity. In addition, the vibe of the song is top notch even that it has become an household song in most gospel praise jams in Nigeria. This songs gives me an assurance of a great 2024 that God is with me nomatter what came my way.
- WORTHY OF MY PRAISE
This is another powerful song released this year by Dunsin Oyekan featuring Lawrence Oyor. This is a song of thanksgiving and praise that i so much love because gratitude is key to enjoy and experience good things in life and i see it working for me this year alot. With this song, i so much love the rhythm, the vocal combinations, the lyrical content and its joyous vibe. The instrumentation was also something of note for me as it was sequenced and arranged. This song inspires me unto gratitude and to be thankful to God in all situations and circumstances which is pivotal to a successful year 2024 i had on all sides.
- JESUS
To crown it all for my best songs this year 2024, this song is another superb release from Judikay, the vibrant Nigerian gospel music artiste who also previously released "Capable God", "Omemma" and other songs. Infact, i was privileged to be under her live ministration last month which was around the time of the release of this particular song in which she ministered it live at this music event here in Nigeria. This song reinforces confidence in the ability of God to restore hope and courage even when it seems all hope is gone or at impossible situation.
This year 2024 has been a great year for me even musically and the three songs above are my top best 3 songs for this year. Thank you for reading as comments and contributions are welcomed.
