Its commonly said that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I think I agree with this statement more so the subject for discussion in this 22nd initiative focuses on how beautiful the African music is. I am proud of where I am coming from no matter what.
Everyone is entitled to his opinion but I have to say that Africa as a continent, is so blessed with lots of resources and things which cut across cultures and other aspects of life. Africa is blessed and is gradually a template for other nations. One of the outstanding thing about Africa is the resilience and the spirit of optimism that keeps them going.
Since I was growing up, I have never seen a nation that is passionate about what they do like the Africans. There are two best music in the world, Africa and others. When I was growing up, one of the music that overwhelmed me and makes me nood my head is the sound from one of the ancient was Brenda even though her video then seems to be nude but what interest me was the sound and beats of the music.
Another one that I remembered is called sarafina in south Africa. It was such a a life touching music that sparks one and inspires one to soar higher in spite of the hurdles on the way of life.
Africa music is so beautiful because the varied sound it produces. I will draw my niche to Nigeria where we have diverse languages and each of them have their unique way of doing things. For instance, there is a popular language that dominate the eastern part of the country. The kind of attire used and presentation of the music is normally quite impressive. I remembered when we went for youth conference and we were to participate in the music competition. The song to be presented must be in three major Nigerian languages. We took out time and hard our rehearsal to perfect everything before the competition day.
We appeared in our uniforms and some touch of cultural attire. We sang in different parts and the local musical instruments really added lots of flavour to our presentation. Each tribe has a particular music which motivate and makes it beautiful. You need to see the presentation of others as well. It was powerful and well done. In those days the African music as a means of communication. There's a pattern that each beats represent the way how such a tribe look at. Once it's played, you would easily identify them. Hmmmm in Africa, music could be used as a means of identification.
African music is beautiful and it creates an atmosphere of unity. There are cultural tiles that annually observe festival of Music in which all people within such terrain would assemble inspite of their differences in ethnicity and religion. This enables them to form a solid relationship. It will be very difficult for enemies to invade such communities.
African music creates job opportunities for others. I know of people that are doing well through this platform. This makes the African music beautiful and worth engaging.
Thanks for reading through my entry.
