Compliments of the season to everyone. I am so happy to bring forth my entry for this engagement.
The season before us is pregnant of so many things. It means different thing to different people. Since from the first day of December, the Christmas bell have started ringing which informs everyone that a new Christmas season is here again.
The significance of this season is what stood out for many and for me as well.
I kept wondering why people spend so much on food and most times clothes etc. There are people that can stretch beyond their limits in an attempt to gratify the desires of their selves. Why would you spend all in the name of celebration of just a season that doesn't last forever. I can't see wisdom in that. I have seen and heard of many families that can spend virtually everything and become bankrupt of things when a new month begins. I noticed that so many people become more indepted to borrowing. Why would you start a new year with such kind of life?
I have never seen someone being rewarded because you are able to spend so much for Christmas or someone given an award as the best person that spent on Christmas. Try and do everything according to the measure of God's grace and help over your life. Never equate yourself to other or be jealous of others. In season like this, there are lots of programmes done to commerate the day. Some of these activities includes and not restricted to carols, visitation amongst several others.
For us as a community, the question focuses on the music in Christmas time. Once this season approaches, my favourite music is the hymn silent night. To see the reality of this song is when the carols is done. During carols in the night, all lights will go off and everyone will be encouraged to carry candle and light it. The Congregation will now process in a circular path with their candles singing the song. You can not wait to see the beauty of this procession especially when you a good choir in their uniforms.
Silent night reminds us of how the shepherd were watching their flocks outside. The angel came with the message that a saviour is born in the land of Bethlehem. There are lots of words to be picked as moral lesson from that song.
Christmas songs also brings refreshing moment to parents and others. It positively send signals to everyone.
Christmas each year comes with an unforgettable experience. For some is a moment for reunion. A woman stepped into my house today and told me how that she missed her home for years. Her father in-law mandate that he wants to see all his children. If it weren't because of Christmas what would happen? Thank God for Christmas.

True words! The true spirit of Christmas isn’t about spending the most but about appreciating what you have and sharing it with others. Focus on God’s grace and the joy of the season rather than comparing yourself to others. There’s so much to celebrate beyond material gifts.
