If I were to aspire to be like a music artist, it would be someone like Beyonce. I have been an ardent fan of queen Bee right from childhood and so far she has been a source of inspiration to her fellow women across the world. She is a true example of a person who is empowered , creative , and dedicated to her craft. As a woman, she uses her music to push for empowerment and to uplift the women of colour. She has worked so hard that her music is not restricted but has become a global sensation and people love to listen to her and even travel far to watch her concerts.

One thing about Beyonce Is that she keeps breaking the barriers with her versatility and innovative ideas. Take for instance, her visual album "lemonade" which was a power source of music that blended music, storytelling, and had stunning visuals. She was innovative enough to take music beyond what it has always been know for, she mixed different genres such as R&B, soul, rock, hip-hop, reggae, and country, together to tell stories that had connections with people. She is proof that you can diversify in music and not be stagnant to the norms rather be creative.

Also, Beyonce is not just incredible in her singing but with the way she uses her music to tell stories that connects and resonates with humankind. For instance most of her songs has to do with the power of women in the society and the world at large, the black pride, self respect, fight for independence, activism, wake up call to fight oppression, love, healing, confidencehasd so on. Her songs are laced with lyrics that has become needsting place for people who are depressed and needs to find solace somehow.

Beyonce has been a powerful advocate for embracing one's identity, as a black women, she has become a feminist who is aware of the strengths a woman possess and the complexitiea in life that womanhood has to endure. Hence, she is big on equality and female empowerment. One of my favorite songs so far is the brown skin girl where she encourages the female lace race to embrace their color.

Brown skin girl
Your skin just like pearls
The best thing in the world
Never trade you for anybody else
Singin' brown skin girl
Your skin just like pearls
The best thing in the world
I never trade you for anybody else, singin'

From the chorus above, we see how she compared the black skin to diamond and reveal how precious and unique they are, for me I have never been swayed by my colour of skin because I just love it and no one can tell me otherwise. In all, appreciating ourselves goes a long way to fight against complexities that tend to bring us down.

This is a part of my entry for the Decemberinleo prompt as organized by the @leogrowth team with great initiative that members of Hive you can participate in this prompt and tackle them as you deem fit. In collaboration with the @afri-tunes community.

One thing I love about Beyoncé is that her songs always touch the soul. They’re not just full of noise like some people I know.🤭

Your model is a good one with quality taste for music.
