Hello Hive afritunes community week #86, my name is @jesus-son and here I am with my participation for the weekly challenge. I Hope you derive some meaning in my post and enjoy with me.
These days I am led to appreciate our local musics and in fact, the very ancient ones, hehe. How many of you read your bibles or if not, how many of you attended primary and secondary schools? Of course almost all of us attended primary amd secondary schools. That being the case, then we must have a knowledge of the Lord's prayer which for us in Nigeria is like a national anthem every morning when we were in school.
The next question is how many of us attended primary school in the Eastern part of Naija. Ahan, those of us wey be village people oya show your face, hehe. Well, I did and I am proud to have done so. So I learnt the Lords prayer in Igbo language first before English sef. Infact we sang it inform of a song and its so beautiful and this is what I bring you here today.
Reflecting on the Lords prayer, our Lord says in the scriptures while he taught this prayer, when you pray, pray like this: our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name...., by implication Jesus gave us a sense in which we can pray. There should be an order in praying. Our God is a God of orderliness and He rightly showed us how to pray. When we deeply reflect on the words of the Lords prayer, we discover that it captures every form of prayer we can ever want to make. Thus, the Lords prayer is a summary of all prayers. That is why it is the greatest prayer.
I recommend that you take it seriously and when you pray it, pray it well. I Hope you enjoy with me as I sing it in Igbo language and play my piano. Thanks for coming around
