Music, the recurring ability of children

I believe a special recognition should be giving to the person that invented rhymes because this has been helping mankind since ages. The act of changes words or sentences to songs has been helping a whole lot of people including myself since childhood.

One of the things that attract children the most is sound, even before they are able to alter a word they have the ability to pick sounds and react to it. As a child grows older, he or she is so fascinated with sounds that's why they are always glued to the TV when watching cartoons, even though they might not understand the wordings but they are attracted by the visual sounds.

While growing up and in kindergarten school, the first method used to teach children is through rhymes and it must be recited everyday so that the children will keep remembering it. It's easier to memorize things while singing than reading it, hence music enhances memory retention.

I believe every child knows the letters of the alphabet through music and it gets stuck to their brain through daily recitation. Being in the education sector makes me have the full knowledge of how I was trained when I was a kid.

There are a whole lot of things teachers turn into songs, they even go as far as making body demonstrations and act like a child and also change their voices if need be just for the children to be able to learn fast and assimilate what they have been taught. I can say, music is an avenue for learning and development in children because it engages everything in them plus their physical bodies.

Just as the world is evolving so is music, there are a whole lot of differences in the music then and now because the invention of technology has made the children have access to different children's songs and other adult songs through mobile gadgets compared to while I'm growing up. That's the more reason parents should be careful of the kind of music their children listen to because music has impacts on children's development and turns out in their life.

Like I've said earlier on, I'm in the education sector so I can vividly say children's music is still in vogue. I hear their music almost everyday of the week at the Nursery and primary section of my school and also on Sundays in the children section of my church.

Therefore, music is good for the children, it captures their attention, helps them to relax their mind and also educates them.

The impact of music can't be overemphasized in the life of children because it's their recurring ability and what I love most about children is that, once they hear a particular sound they know, they will leave whatever they are doing to vibe to the song. And they do it happily without minding that anyone is looking at them, what a happy soul❤️.
