It’s a wonderful time to embrace an African tone, and I celebrate each and every one of you. If I may ask, how are we all doing? I trust that all is well with us. I remain @oluthomas.

We are in Week 151 of the AfriTunes weekly performance, and for this week's performance, I did an amazing cover of the song “Yesu Ne Mai Rike Dai Rai Na” (God Owns My Life). This song was originally sung by Dachmo Dachmo, Moxie Yaro, and Solomon Lange. From my research, I discovered that this song has been around since my childhood, making that period of my life more meaningful and filled with deep reflections of my existence.

The songwriter shares a personal life experience, expressing that despite his strength, wisdom, skills, and understanding, Jesus owns it all. Initially, he believed it was his own ability and power that is sustaining him, but he later realized that he is nothing without God. This realization led him to surrender everything to God.

Everyone must reach a point in life where they understand that they do not have power over their own lives, only God does. YES!

Sometimes, we make our own plans, but God has His plans for us. He has the power to give and take life as He wills. I have seen people boast about their achievements and all they have accumulated for themselves and their children. However, I know for certain that if God does not watch over a city, the watchmen guard it in vain. No matter how hard one tries to escape death, God's will prevails, He has the final say over every life.
