Have you ever been in a state where you listen to a music and then boom, you have travelled back in time to relive a certain Memories or Moments, yeah that's exactly how powerful Music can Be.

For me,that feeling is just like my heart skips a beat and I'm instantly taken back to memories I thought were lost forever or I hope it would last for some hours which sadly didn't, it was just for some couple of minutes.

Music has this crazy power to tap into our memories and emotions, doesn't it?

For me I have a lot of songs that whenever I listen to them a journey to another dimension of imagination starts, its crazy, I don't if that has ever happened to anyone reading this post but for me it has happened, music is just so unique in it's operations.

So let me tell you some of the most unbelievable things that have happened to me because I was listening to some certain songs,

So I was listening to a song by Coldplay titled: Charlie brown, and I travelled back to almost 27 years ago, I saw faces from my childhood, that I thought was forgotten forever, I couldn't believe myself.
Where was all this memories before? How could I remember such memories? I was so still very young, playful and forgetful.
The feeling was so beautiful.
The ending part of the song lyrics was super charged enough to pull my consciousness from presence to the past.
This part:
Ooh ooh-ooh-ooh (oh),So we'll soar Luminous and wired,We'll be glowing in the dark
I wished that part took up to hours, so that I can experience that memories much longer.

Let's look at some ways Music connects with Memory

  • Emotional relativity:
Most of the times Music is often connected to some important emotional events, such as weddings, graduations, even places we visited at some point of time.
This is why Whenever we hear a song associated with a strong emotional experience, it can instantly spark out that special memories.

  • Brain sparkles: Music is processed or let me put is as delivered in multiple areas of the brain, which includes those parts responsible for emotion, memory, and sensory perception. This can lead to the formation of strong neural connections between music and memories. That's why many genres can affect our mode and behaviour after listening to them, for me there are some songs I will listen to and be super happy and proactive, but I listen to and I would be self reflective, others can be energetics or energy boosters.

  • Nostalgia: More importantly Music has the ability to evoke nostalgia, a sentimental longing for the past. This nostalgia can trigger memories and emotions associated with a particular time and place. For example, we might love a song so much that you tie a particular memory to it unknowingly.
Most of the time I have nostalgia of going to certain places, meeting some people and many other examples.

  • Personal Significance : To me Many a time I consider Music to be often closely tied to our personal experiences and also very related to what we identify with. For example now When we hear a song that holds personal significance, it can bring back memories and emotions associated with that experience.

Finally the last point I would share with you

  • The Five senses connects with Music: I
Don't be surprised some scents, sight, sounds, textures, food can be saved up in your memory and music can wake up that memory.

In conclusion: Music and Memories are super interconnected, in fact to me each story embedded In each songs, the sound tracks, the tune in each songs are capable to fetch out memories,
So let enjoy the moments as we listen to our songs.

All pictures are mine,
Thanks for Your Time, Do have a splendid week❤️
