Like I mentioned earlier, music is one of the major way of preserving cultural heritage.
Ancient cultural songs regularly express historical events, from ancient generations down to our time and to the next generation to come.
Modern music showcase the experiences and challenges of present day society, providing a soundtrack for cultural movement and revolutions.
My grandmother would always tell me stories of how music was used to communicate before they went in for war, she also mentioned that whenever the king wants to send a message across the village or wants the villagers to assemble together, the town choir wood have to beat the drums and sing a particular song.
This shows that music has always been part of our lives.
MODERN DAY MUSIC
Aside from the cultural aspects, in the present day, music has become part of our lives all over the world. Most people can't go a day without listening to music and I'm one of those people. It's funny how I'm composing this article and listening to music at the same time.
Music has come to stay forever, I don't think it's possible to go about your daily activities without listening to music, even if you are not directly playing it from your device, probably from the roadside, in your neighborhood, or when you want to call someone. Some network providers use music to entertain the customer while the call is trying to go through.

Cultural been a source of history, representing and preserving cultural heritage. Cultural music is mostly based on traditions, which ethnic group have its own cultural music in their different language languages.
I listen to cultural music only when the beats sounds danceable 😂, in my own point of view, some cultural music are just boring, maybe it's just because I don't understand the lyrics or I don't to the songs.
Sometimes the instrument s and the beats doesn't make the song sound interesting or danceable. It's true that some songs may have good meaning but it might not have a beat to be able to dance to it.
As an igbo lady, I enjoy listening to Igbo cultural songs. I remember today's when my dad and my uncle would play Igbo traditional songs, I usually get a bit pissed because I don't understand the lyrics of the song, my uncle even dance to the traditional songs and sing along, in my mind I would just be wondering how you finds the song interesting 🎶.
But as I grew up, I started understanding the lyrics of those traditional songs. Most of the traditional songs my uncle listen to are always telling stories about some events and history of some kings in the igboland.

MICHAEL JACKSON: A popular multi talented musician and a dancer, back in his time, he was popularly know as KING OF POP.
