The food of the soul is music, and where there are good songs, the whole place lit up and with vibes. Good music is determined by their sincerity and originality. Music from the 90s is still very good, and I enjoy listening to them more than the latest ones. I love music, not just anyone, but the ones that I can resonate and vibe with. In those days, music was regarded as a special thing because they are pioneered by real people who wanted to express themselves through songs.
They prefer to air their opinions through songs and every listener would appreciate such. Music in those days was profound because it spoke volumes and with deep meaning; one would definitely take home something from it.
When it comes to music, we all have preferences and our mood determines what kind of music to tune in for. Like me for instance, there are days I just want to listen to songs from the 90s and other days, I want to choose all from the latest ones. But songs from the 90s take the highest percentage because I'm always reminded of those days and how life was then.
I don't just listen to anyhow songs but ones that have deep meaning and resonate with me on a different level. You see, music from the 90s, without a doubt, makes more sense than now, especially when it comes to being honest. Musicians in those days understood what music was and how it impacted and influenced someone's day, unlike artists of nowadays, where all they want is to put out different songs to make money without minding the audience and how they would feel.
Musicians in the 90s valued music so much that it took time to release an album because they would have taken their time to think and analyze, which then became a benefit to those listening to them.
One thing I admire about music in the 90s is that these people put in their efforts and connected with their souls whereby expressing themselves and putting out their voices to the world. They don't rush to release a song as they believe that music to impact someone's life is much better than just releasing sounds into the air without fulfilling its purpose.
This doesn't mean songs being released today aren't good; in fact, I enjoy most of them, especially when I can relate to every line and also one that resonates with me. I take my time to go through the lyrics of music, and if it's something worth listening to, I would not hesitate, and I would completely cancel any music that has no deep meaning to me whose aim is just to make money only and not affect people's lives positively.
No doubt music from the 90s remains evergreen and relevant. I've noticed most songs of today quickly disappear into thin air after a while, and that's because they don't impact lives. They are only enjoyed for their beat and rhythm, but the real thing, which is the lyrics, has no soul in it. But when it comes to music then, even the beat, rhythm and words are still appreciated and enjoyed.
No wonder you'd see an old person not tuning in to the music of today, but they'd praised the effort of good music from the past because that was the real deal then. Music with passion. Music with deep meaning. Music with the flow from the heart to the soul. That's the kind of music I enjoy and will always choose, except for a few today, mostly gospel songs that make sense.

Most of the music of recent time have no meaning but the music of earlier time was meaningful and that's the reason you like old music. I also think same like you.
Yea, those music are still evergreen and that's the kind of music I love instead of recent ones that doesn't make sense and are quickly forgotten after a while.
My dear music this days does not have meaning and to me I don't really like all this our naija music's
You see those naija music, I don't fancy them at all.
90s songs and movies are unbeatable because of their purity and the way they show us.
Exactly my point
It's true that music these days doesn't have meaning but I don't think it's all of them. Although I can't pick one particular one that has meaning.
But you see music of then, they all had meaning written into them
Yea, not all music of today are without good meanings, some still has. But that of the old times, I bet they are the best.
They truly are
We do have some artists now that are good but no matter how good, they can't be compared to artists of the 90s.
You said it right ✅️
Music from the past can't be compared to now.
And that's on a period 🤝🏾
