Am here to also present my entry on this topic physical music mentorship and online music tutorials which one is the best? This is a throw question to the house and the question is indeed a great one.
I really appreciate the admin here he really brings out topic that is so much Initiative that everyone can say something concerning his personal life before I should go any further I will like to maintain this by asking my self can I learn on social media?
The answer to myself is Capital NO.
first I will love to say understanding is in different forms there are some that will say they understand learning most through online classes but as for me I don't like online classes I believe we should be seeing face to face.
I will analyze the advantages and disadvantages of physical and online tutorials then I will tell you the reason why I choose the physical mentorship
First let me start with online tutorials:
This online tutorials is a very good initiative that people brought up to to atlease teach people online if possible all over the world.
But me I said no to that because I have my close reasons, the reason why I will not go with online tutorials because is some how boring no cracking of jokes and the person will Seems to be serious and again you don't know if what his teaching you is true self.
Although some are saying the truth but because you believe is online some can't even go extra hand for research again they will just believe on what the man is saying and that is all.
Advantages of online tutorials:
1 it makes one to be focus because is once and if it is passed it can not be reversed again
2 It is very lucrative in the sense that people that are teaching through line at the end will get paid
3 It brings about friendship with unknown to be known
4 It is easy to learn.
Disadvantages of online tutorials:
1 It is time consuming, in the sense that one can't do anything when it is almost time for the class the person will not be at peace till they meet up.
2 It consumes data
3 Only the person teaching is beneficial through finance but the listener only hear and also waste data
4 It is stressful, in the sense that the person teacher don't know if you are tired or not his aim is to finish the class.
5 It is boring, the teacher and the students can't interact because is a set time.
Physical mentorship:
Is a practical of what someone is doing that you see you hear his real voice and also learn through his actions even see him perform you also learn more from his performances.
Advantages:
1 It gives one confidence of learning, like is what you see him doing that you will do
2 It gives full time at frequency
3 It is more of jokes and examples
4 It makes the learner to feel free to interact
5 It gives rapid understanding and catch up
6 it is less expensive
7 it has high voltage of understanding
8 the person teaching also encourage the person learning to be serious with activities
Disadvantages:
1 the person teaching might be occupied with others activities.
2 the time might be limited
3 the person teaching might be filled with pride most especially if he is teaching for free it is the time he wish he will come
But the little illustration I gave you can understand me that I can't learn from online directly but I rather use online as plan B when I learn from physical mentorship and then I will still go on research again.
Onlike me am into a trumpet class you can't just advice me to learn trumpet online because trumpet is not something we just earn like that is an instrument that needs constant practice day and night.
Sometimes through the person giving you physical mentorship you can learn when he is performing and you might wish to perform better than him because there is this addict that say if you mentor someone the person will even be greater than you.
As for me I prefer physical mentorship than online tutorials.
