I bring greetings to you all, this is my first entry in this community because I just subscribed to the community and I saw the theme that say “ideologies: does secular music have effect on your spirituality?
This is question that comes with a massive stoning I am confused on where to start but the theme made me to remember one of my uncle who happens to be a Christian.
He preached to me that hearing of secular music is not good and again he said it does not inspire one's life positively rather make one to think of immorality and I seems to agreed with him because there is this song by naira marley tittle I am coming.
Because of the immoral act in the video they have to banned it in the country and again some of the secular musician go to the extent of joining occultic groups in other to trend by such doing they dedicated their music to the devil that if any one hears it he dance to the tune.
Let's take a look at the musics now people love watching secular music video because they display it like porn imagine a lady dancing naked in a song just for money showing her pride to the whole world.
I agreed with my uncle and I sat and analysed it and I find out that he is saying the truth and I decided to delete all the secular music in my phone but if I just hear secular played outside or where I am i will nodding my head to the tune.
I began to imagine if am the one doing it like that but I notice that there is a spirit behind worldly music that is from the pit of hell because the majority now like the secular music more than the gospel music and the trending self secular music trend more than gospel music.
So I can't deny the fact that secular music have effect on ones life but the effect there is immoral effect that change the mind good boys and girls to copy the world pattern as it is happening now.
Can you imagine youth don't longer go to church again making all sort of secular musician there role model I have a friend who lil Wayne is his role model he do things like lil Wayne.
Some mikiminach lady gaga tiwa savage as there role model they dress like them do everything like them could you imagine so I said anything that will take the joy Of God in my life am not seconding to it.
As for me secular music don't have any good effect to my spirituality but rather give me bad motives and does not inspired me. There is this saying that says what seeneth a man is right but at the end will lead to destruction that is what we mean by secular music.
It makes some one thinks he is doing the right thing but at the end of it all will destroy all that have been building in his life for years just in one words.
My advice here is for us to look for values not famous and again we should hear what will inspired us positively not negatively because there are some secular music that has good vision and inspiration not all have bad intention.
But some music are coming from the dedicated pit of hell in other to win souls for the devil. That is why I don't believe that secular music have effect on ones life rather kill one spiritually.
