Most of the time think about music evolution and I find it so hard to comprehend because there is one spirit about music evolution which is that, you find it difficult to change what you have known and has been recorded in your brain. My music resolution is learning new music genre and the music genre I have been trying to learn and cope with is the jazz music and the bebop style of music. I am happy when I saw this topic which says how are you coping with your music resolution. This music style I am kind of music I love very much and that is mainly what made me love music and instrument.
When I started playing guitar, I planned that I was going to learn jazz standards no matter what, but why do I really love this and why am I going to learn it. Simply put, I want to improve my skills and add to my skill set. Normally, as a musician, you cannot just know one thing and stick to it because there are lots of new things coming in every day, so one need to be updated and learn every time so you won't be left out.
I really faced a lot of challenges learning this new skill, just as you know that there is nothing you want to learn as a new thing which won't give issues because you are not used to it before. Some of the big challenges I faced are lack of time, motivation and distraction and lots more. About the challenges I am facing in my resolution, well, it's bound to happen, but that's because jazz music is not just something one can just wake up a day and start playing. There are some rules and rudiments you have to follow in which is one is not dedicated enough, one won't be able to meet up with it. But from today I am planning to devise a new plan to make things work out as I have gotten some new materials to learn with.
About my music resolution, I have actually been able to learn so new things, but you know when you have not attained that stage you wish to attain, it might be a bit difficult so one need to strive. I am actually trying to cope with the new music resolution and I hope with time as I get dedicated to it, I will be able to adapt to my resolution and be a better jazz player, and I am trying everything possible not to allow those things that has been drawing me back come to existence again.
I will tell this lie a motivation to other music lovers who want to change their music resolution that no matter how hard it is, always make sure you stick to the plan because nothing good comes easily, and also good things does not happen when we become lazy. Always stay focused and keep pushing hard, the good results are coming soonest, and you will love it when it comes. I hope to see you on the other side of success.
