It's Afritunes Week 106. I am your girl @yhubee and I'm here with my participation for this week's contest which I hope you will listen to the end and engage.

The title of the song is Jailer by Asa.
Asa is a female Nigerian Artist who is known for her evocative voice , not only in Nigeria but globally. Asa uses this song to constructively criticize government, laws, and policies.

This is one of the songs that I can never consider as an old song. I love this song from the beats to the lyrics. It metaphorically talks about how some people's dreams and aspirations are cut off by certain forces. It carefully traces out concepts like restraint, liberation and awareness of oneself.

It's a song that shows a strong sense of resilience and emancipation from every internal forces that holds us bound including our mindset.
