I had a glamorous corporate job (or so I thought haha). I worked for a company that provides basically everything, even during the pandemic and a super typhoon. It was like several months of basically doing nothing and yet I was compensated, haha. I had tons of privileges, I work with friendly people, and had overflowing coffee. Yes, coffee was a dealbreaker. The company was very generous with benefits, although the compensation was not the highest. I was even fetched from my house back and forth to work, which was way too far from the city center. On top of that, the job was very easy.

I built lasting friends during my stay, been to many places, and even put up a house that I call my own. Not to mention that I accumulated many things during my stay that I am still using until now, such as an expensive laptop that I afforded out of a referral bonus.
So why did I leave?
There are many reasons, but the main one is that I wanted to have more control over my own life. I wanted to be able to choose my own projects, set my own hours, and work from anywhere. My previous company just could not provide that.
[insert caption haha - just a part of land in the province where i brought my laptop and work while gardening]
I also wanted to be able to challenge myself and learn new things. I felt like my corporate job was getting stagnant, and I wasn't growing as a professional.
I decided to quit my job and start freelancing. Freelancing is a great way to have more control over your own life and work on projects that you're passionate about. It's also a great way to challenge yourself and learn new things.
The transition to freelancing wasn't easy, but it's been worth it. I'm now happier and more fulfilled than I ever was in my corporate job. I'm also earning more money and working fewer hours.
[yea more happier and fulfilled with out them kitties ruining the background]
If you're considering quitting your job and starts freelancing, here are a few things to keep in mind:
Choose a niche and become an expert. When you're first starting out as a freelancer, it's important to choose a niche. This will help you to focus your marketing efforts and attract the right clients. Once you've chosen a niche, focus on becoming an expert in that area. This will help you to stand out from the competition and command higher rates.
Make a plan. Before you quit your job, it's important to have a plan for how you're going to support yourself financially. You should also have a plan for how you're going to find clients and market your services.
Be prepared to work hard. Freelancing is not easy. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to be successful. You need to be able to manage your own time, set your own goals, and motivate yourself.
Be patient. It takes time to build a successful freelancing business. Don't get discouraged if you don't start seeing results immediately. Just keep working hard and networking, and eventually you'll be successful.
