Hi,dear HIVErs!
It has beed a while since i was involved in a project worth mentioning. We had a lot of work, but nothing was really special like this one.
We got an order to do a miniature sculpture of a robot for testing nuclear reactors as a gift to onenof the leading men in Nuclear reactor Krško in Slovenia.
Here is the 3D model of the sculpture although some pieces are missing from thw model.I recieved them in a differwnt file and forgot to make a picture.
and here you can see all the parts individually:
This is the model after assembly:
We sent all the pieces to get galvanized and this is the final product:
It took about 2 days of programming and machining to create this overglorified, overexpensive paper holder.
But at the end of the day it was fun to machine and assemble this piece.
Thank you for reading and talk to you soon.
STAY SAFE!
Wow, this is cool project and the outcome looks great.
thank you :)
I love creating stuff with machines (CAD/CNC/Finishing)! Its really amazing how easily things can be done with creativity, speed, and precision. I can't imagine how making stuff was in the past without computer aided tools. Great stuff!!
i tried "classical" machining and it isnway harder.but some of the pieces we make are so complicated i dont think we can even do it without CAM
It Is amazing 🤩 I love it. Excellent project
