As I told you I love starting my days with a good breakfast, in Italy we traditionally don't eat salty foods, I have a nice cappuccino or a cup of milk with cereals and I make various types of croissants, the one I like best is with walnuts and maple syrup. Then I prepare breakfast for my wife even though she usually only drinks coffee. Cell phone off limits for the first half hour after waking up. Starting the day like this relaxes me a lot. I'm trying to wake up a little earlier to start a habit called "golden hour"; have you ever heard of it?
A phone free morning routine is a good thing considering how much time we spend on devices these days. I like the sound of your breakfast...I could eat croissants all day! Lol.
I also know what golden hour means and, as I am usually up fairly early, I get to enjoy it. My city is on the coast (Adelaide, South Australia) and so I get to watch a lot of sunsets from the beach also.

I was born and raised in a small town in the Barossa Valley, a famous vineyard and wine-making region, not unlike Tuscany actually, and my heart is away from the city and in wide open spaces, but the city is where I work and it's good too.
I too love open spaces, but I believe that a good compromise can be found between this and the city. "The golden hour" I think is a very good habit, I have to be able to make it permanent in my life.
