A great post. I think you are a responsible person who is doing his job sincerely and honestly. That is what needed in life and at work to be honest. I really like the point you made where employees think that the company is lucky to have them and snub the work. That's the attitude I never want to develop. Not good and healthy for your work. That does not mean employees should not have work life balance. Respect the work and that's key.
Thanks man! I learned this from my dad I would think. He’s a phenomenal worker and really dedicates his best to the role he’s in and goes the extra mile when needed and is an important part of a work environment.
I’ve worked with a lot of different people over the years and I’ve seen almost all of it. The people who snub the workplace with arrogance are difficult for sure and they often don’t really get far in life from that attitude. It’s unfortunate but not everyone can be that way I suppose.
I will admit though that despite this, I was a terrible worker at my first job hahaha. I worked at a grocery store and I enjoyed it and did it pretty well but I called out a lot and actually just stopped showing up for work one day and they eventually fired me. It was not my best performance but I think many of us have situations like that. It’s how we learn and grow out of it that’s important!
It’s also very important for the workplace you are in to respect you as an employee and person. If you don’t get respect then it’s difficult to produce in a positive manner to our possibilities. I’ve worked for some shitty people and it makes it tough but we get through it!
Appreciate you stopping by my friend!
