A zero-knowledge neural network (ZKANN) has been proposed by Ross Ulbricht to resolve the tradeoff betweeen privacy for individuals for encryption and bad actors exploiting this privacy for nefarious purposes. Fairly exciting! I give a basic overview as I understand it.
I also briefly discuss the fact that a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) amendment is still being considered by US legislators, a move that always has a global impact.
