I lived in Peru for a while and my girlfriend is Peruvian, so it's funny to see this!!
They are owned by Coca-Cola now, unfortunately.
Certainly a unique drink. But yes, very very sugary
Good with Pollo a la brasa!!

Good to see someone around here who actually knows the drink. People love it a lot there. Maybe I have to be more open and try it with different food and yesss Pollo a la brasa!!
Personally I don't drink much soda, but sometimes the Airbnb hosts leave it and it ends up getting drank ha ha. I feel like when you are already eating some french fries and chicken it's somehow acceptable to indulge lol.
All things in moderation!
I hope you also got to try a pisco sour!! I think that's the real national drink ha ha
Cusco is a magical place, good to see this article about it. I lived in Pisac for two months, in the Cusco region, and also spent maybe 6 weeks in cusco itself, mostly around San Blas. I hope you got to see the Saksaywaman ruins, you can walk there from the San Blas plaza in about 20 minutes. Lots of people miss it because they don't find out about it, but it's right there! You can see a few temples there for free, or pay to see them all, I never paid but used to walk up there in the morning for exercise. The moon temple you can get to for free, and also can see the main ruins, but up close you have to pay.
