First of all, if police or administration will not act, there will be a huge surge in cases that our country cannot manage given the healthcare system we have. If you are unnecessary going out than Police have to be a little strict and it's not in India it's all over the world.
Secondly, the people who are stranded are given food and shelter though there were hiccups earlier but its smooth now.
