Well. I don't suppose I have ever witnessed so many people that think they can just get something and then try to get their debt written off. I even saw someone comparing their college loan debt to slavery and forced prostitution.
One thing that we seem to be lacking more and more is personal responsibility. At the end of our lives we will realize just how many choices got us to where we are, and they were our choices good or not.

Is prostitution not a choice? Maybe they meant sex slavery but I think that is a smaller subset.
I fully agree that brainwashed boomers convinced a whole generation to attend college WAY above the appropriate rates, but we always have a choice.
I was way dumber when I made the choice, but I saw it was a dumb choice within 3 years, and I walked away.
I still owe that debt, but there are plenty IBR plans that let me pay 0 as long as I don't report enough income.
After 25 years (I'm 8 years in), they forgive it anyway. As in, already they are forgiving these loans.
The big problem is really worthless degrees. Which comes back to the Boomers saying 'go to college' without being more specific.
Let's try to do better with our children.
Heck yeah. Stacie D and I went to some college...and paid for it. It is a weird world happening around us. It seems like the loudest voices are the ones crying and wanting someone to do something for them.
We are raising our kids to understand how to use money/assets and fuctional personal wealth. It will continue to be a different world as they grow, and i hope we all make it haha
I really agree with your points about personal responsibility. Its not about the ability to blame other people, like I am responsible as long as there is no one else to blame. Because there is always someone to blame.
Its about taking responsibility for what you can control to make your life better.
For sure!
