Today I am building something that is Ling over due. We usually have a regular 55 gallon drum for responsible trash burning, but I wanted to step it up a notch.
I found an old well tank, some chimney pipes, and a piece of metal with holes in it. I think after some creative cutting we will have an amazing burn barrel.

Would be nice to use that extra heat to cook and heat the home without the trash fumes getting inside, maybe a water heat transport system from this unit in a shed to your home, I remember my grandpa building such a large scale unit for his house years back?
Yeah. We thought about what we could do with it, but decided that just efficiently burning the trash was food enough haha
I like this design. We have a regular 55 gallon drum, but I always worry about the ashes flying out and starting a fire. Hot ashes and cinders are well contained in this system. Good job!
I love this design alot. The smoke comes out of the door and the chimney, but when it slows down it just comes out the chimney. So far we havent seen any sparks. I even loaded it up and put two boxes in the top part.
Nice. I might have to look into building one of those!
