Nature evenly distributes all things and people. Hence we are happy where ever nature had put us.
Living in a remote village with little or no government influence is characterized by different forms of suffering.
The wisdom of God in us is the wealth we enjoy as we can manipulate nature for our benefit. In this video, I share with you the trouble mothers, fathers, young and old who must eat pass through in my village undergo daily.
This is a little stream but it connects to a big river called Imo River which empty's into the Niger River.
People in this village, walk about 45 to 50 minutes from the community center to the stream before crossing to do farming. The road has hills which most elderly people find very frustrating but they must eat, overcome the burden, and press forward.
Going to the farm in this area is not always the major challenge rather coming back and carrying a heavy load is something that I feel pity for the elderly, who possibly do not have any to provide for them.
The major occupation of the villagers is farming though not on a large scale but for the family and little for sale.
Crossing this stream on this local bridge is dangerous. Most often, our mothers fall into the stream even with loads on their heads.
The Community has tried to construct the bridge locally but each time it rains, the current uproots the construction and the farmers are forced to walk across the stream with the depth of the stream above the chest area sometimes you dare not try doing so.
This video explains the pain of the people here and I call on all lovers of farmers, and agencies, to please come to the aid of my please. Together we can construct a concrete bridge for these poor mothers and children.
