I can relate to your message. This month has been full of tempting reasons to for me to have given up, and the urge to linger in negativity was constant. Yet I chose to push through. Because I pushed through I feel a new sense of confidence. Those challenges I faced, became an exercise in choosing to be positive.
I didn't allow myself to linger in the negativity, because of that I was able to see the blessings that were hidden in the weeds. By choosing to look for the positive I was able to succeed in a few of my commitments, and actually feel stronger now that I pushed through.
When we quit, we stop the progress we're making. By quiting we're forcing ourselves to start at the beginning again. The pain we suffered didn't benefit us because we stopped before our tolerance increased. Yet if we choose to focus on the good, our minds rise above the situation. This helps us see things we might have missed if we were looking down at the negatives. It's easier said then done, but the more we do it. The stronger we get at doing it. !LUV the post, it's positively !ALIVE. :)

It was good for you because now you have better self confidence through push up. Negativity is not good thing but maybe it can be happened our mind like as human beings. We are not perfect and can't control every emotions what we feel. But continue hard effort bring us good results.
