Today i will be sharing with you the love of a mother and also the pain of a mothe,my today topic is about the story of a man named Elkanah who was an Ephrathite,he has two wives,the first wife name was Hannah and the second wife name was Peninnah,peninnah had children but hannah has no children .
Elkanah was a man who serve God,so every year he and his family always went to shillo,he always gives his wives their portion but peninnah and her children their portion but hannah was barren but he still love her very much so he also gave her a worthy portion .
This happens year after year and it provoked hannah,she went to the house of the lord and she did not eat anything,she wept and pray to the lord her husband saw her weeping and ask her why she is crying and why she has not eaten,she said unto him that is she not better to you than ten sons,Elkanah console her and she rose up to eat.
After she has eaten she was i bitterness and made a vow to God that if the lord can give her a child she will return the child to the lord,as she was praying the priest saw her and thought she was drunk,so he asked her how long has she been drunked and she said that she is not drunk but praying,so the priest said to her to get up and go in peace for the lord will answer her prayers .
Truely the lord answer her prayers,the lord gave her a son and she named him samuel,she also fulfill her promise she made to God,i pray for all the mothers,may God Almighty grant them all their heart desire and may their children not be a burden in their lives in jesus name,Amen .
