Yeah its an ebow, basically a vibrating magnet that rattles the string continuously. A bit tricky to use to change between strings. They have a pickup version called a sustainiac, takes a while to get charged up before it starts moving the string.

Btw, I started my instrument collection, just purchased a lyra/kemenche from Turkey. Soon I'll be starting a shop and not selling anything except to high profile individuals. lol

Sounds great. A lot going on there with you getting the most out of all 8 strings. Is that some kind of sustainer you're using towards the end?
