Gold Hill Street is a very famous cobbled street in Shaftesbury, a historic town located in North Dorset, England. It is also known as "Hovis Hill," as it was used in a popular British television commercial for Hovis bread in 1973, which portrayed a young boy pushing a bike up the steep hill while carrying a loaf of bread.

Gold Hill Street is lined with beautiful old houses, shops, and restaurants, all of which contribute to the town's charming atmosphere. The street rises steeply from the town center to the top of a hill, offering stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

The origins of the street date back to the early 18th century when the town's wealthy merchants built their homes there. Today, it attracts visitors from all over the world who come to see the Hovis advertisement's famous location and experience the charm of the historic street.
