As a smartphone user, I can attest to the importance of having a password on our phones. Unfortunately, I learned this lesson the hard way when my phone fell into the wrong hands. The experience was devastating, and it left me feeling sad and unhappy.
My phone contained all my personal information, including my mobile banking app,and personal contacts. I also used my phone for online shopping and marketing, and without a password, anyone could have easily made unauthorized purchases.
What made the experience even more painful was that the offender happened to be a friend who recently purchased an Amazon KDP course online. He needed guidance on using Canva for designing and I offered to coach him for free. My good intentions, however, caused me a great deal of loss.
All my WhatsApp chats were wiped off. This resulted in me losing vital information, including passphrases to some of my crypto accounts which can't be recover and tutorial links to my paid online courses, which I couldn't retrieve unless I paid for it again. To add insult to injury, some of my contacts even received offensive chats and comments from the person who had access to my phone.
The experience was emotionally taxing, and it affected me deeply. I had to take time off to calm myself down and come to terms with what had happened. It was a harsh reminder of the importance of protecting our personal information and data, especially when we have someone else's interests at heart.
Having a password on your phone is crucial for ensuring the security of your personal information and data. It acts as a first line of defense against unauthorized access, prevents unauthorized purchases, protects your online accounts, and ensures your privacy. I highly recommend setting a strong and unique password for your phone and changing it regularly to ensure maximum security. Trust me, it is a small step that can make a big difference in keeping your personal information and data safe.
I have resolutely decided that I will not let this happen to me again and I am taking deliberate steps towards ensuring that it doesn't.
Thank you for stopping by.
I got some bullsh*t comments from you, then someone told me your phone fell on the wrong hands. You know what I find strange? If the story is true, they had access to your funds, including Hive, yet none of your liquid earnings have been touched.
Yeah, that's true, I sent an apology comment immediately I noticed it. It's because the person isn't really familiar with hive and we all know hive isn't really easy to navigate except you see someone to guide you. I've spent more than a year on hive yet I don't really know how to trade my earnings yet, @monica-ene has always been helping me on it when need be. Also, my private keys is saved with human name on my contact list so, that way, I got it secured.
Wow, am so sorry you went through all that but you can still change your hive password if you are not double sure of the safety of the initial one.
The best and most lasting lessons are sadly the ones we learn the hard way. Sorry that you experienced this but I know you won’t undergo this mistake again!
Yeah, I won't
