When comparing to the perditions and the gap closed in traditional democrat bastions it was
I'm not sure what that means--although you do seem to come to the discussion with a sense of wrong. However, I like history. I like facts. I looked at the last 120 years of presidential elections in the U.S. In only six elections has the margin between winner and loser (popular vote) been closer than the result this year, and in most cases closer by a percentage of a point. More typical would be a result that shows much larger difference between winner and loser.
No avalanche here, I'm afraid. A clear win though. The people have spoken. Life goes on and we all will try to get the best government we can with what we have now. That's what people do who believe in democracy.

Well, he gained in 49 states and D.C. - biggest party swing since 92, best Republican showing in 20 years with 18-30 year-olds; best Republican showing in 48 years with Black voters; 52+ years with Hispanics and the best popular vote for House Republicans in presidential year since 1928.
It is not all about the overall numbers, and trying to say it is that simple and not a landslide on many terms, is just trying to cover the sun with a sieve i think. My 2 cents anyway, we could also argue he won women, that is a pretty big deal, shows how clearly dems failed.
Just because we have a crazy Electoral College doesn't change that fact that almost half the people in this country voted for someone else. That's not a landslide. You can dig into all the statistics you want to cast a shadow over that fact.
We have an Electoral College because the men who wrote the Constitution were landed gentry and didn't trust the people to vote wisely. Don't use that to alter the fact that almost half the people in the United States are unhappy with the outcome (47.7 Harris; 50.7 Trump). He would have won without the Electoral College, but the narrowness of his victory is more evident with a comparison of the true numbers.
If he rules (and he will rule) without regard for the wishes of 47.7 percent of the people, it will be not only a political disaster, but also a calamity for our democracy.
Well democrats despised and insulted conservatives and disregarded their wishes and they paid the toll, i doubt republicans will be this stupid.
I dont think democracy will ever degenerate into nothing more than an autocracy, democracy is not something i value in current form, why should a 18 year old female vote? Can´t buy a beer but can have a voice in the future? fuck that... If most people are retarded and stupid why should the intelligent among us suffer for their stupidity? It is unpopular to say it but i truly dont care anymore. The reason Trump got elected is the total disregard for common sense from leftie people, telling us that a dress makes you a woman, like it is some kind of disguise, among other stupid ideas... The more idiots try to contaminate woke, the more the rest of us will reject it...
It's refreshing to have a discussion with a member of the elite, and a male to boot.
I am by no means elite, i just dont think being a male makes me oppressor, European does not make me colonizer, in fact white countries are colonized by africans nobody thinks that is odd... I also don't partake on the patriarchy bs... i can see young women today are mostly a surplus commodity, and believe anyone supporting this ethno masochist ideas is indeed the problem, and of course a very blind and stupid being
