Back on my blender

The grind never stops and neither do it. After two straight weeks of work, I'm back on it today and ready to go.

If I was being honest, I'm somewhat jaded right now and actually need a release. However, there's no time to dwell on that now because there's money to be made and I've got to make it.

I'm back doing what I've been doing since. Renewing customer's insurance and trying to get this bread for the company.

I've gotten used to the role and while that means I now have good stats, it's starting to feel a bit monotonous. So, I'm currently on the hunt for something different and I'll be hearing about my hunt today.

I have an internal interview for a position in the claims team. It's a slight increase in salary but ultimately, it's a new experience for me.

Working in renewals is about stats and money but from what I've heard, the claims team is the bread and butter if insurance. Potentially moving to that team opens bigger doors for me and that's an opportunity that I can't resist.

No decision has been made yet though. I also have a 30-minute situation down with my manager and his manager on Friday to discuss what I only know as an opportunity. I'm still oblivious of the actual topic we'll discuss but this meeting was scheduled as a result of my need for sponsorship, so hopefully it's good news.

I'm keeping my options open, expanding my net and also doing courses to boost my resume. For me, the end point is to either hold a strategic role or a management role. Upskilling is the only way to get those and that's what I'm pushing for.
