RE: Some Thoughts about 9-11 and Original Art

I don't think self hatred is as prevalent as you may think. The clowns in the media and the "influencers" try to propose the country hates itself. There are millions of people who say otherwise. The hard working, every day people who aren't of the "educated" class love the country and everything in it. Once I moved out of the area that was full of these posh, nose in the air people, you get to the areas of the country that are full of proud people who love their country and their neighbors. I think the education and universities are the poisons nowadays. They are poisoning the young minds that the country is bad. The easiest way to destroy a country is to start within. I know they have gained ground on this front but there are still millions of people who are there to slow it down or try and stop it.

Sort:

As an outsider, that was what I perceived of the whole. at least about the left.

The way I see it, the country is divided on that. From electoral results one may think the division is quite even, but I assume there are sectors that do not show their affiliations in polls and others that could not care less.
Universities may play a role. I have always question the over emphasis on theories. Generation after generation, scholars fail to understand that theories must be tested and it should be based on the results that one can further or correct an idea or agenda.
They continue to be driven by theories that have proven catastrophic in practice.
That being said, universities also provide the environment to develop awareness about the complexities of these issues. It is up to every student or faculty to support a given agenda just because it makes them look good or to provide more insightful ideas because it is the right thing to do.
I think that many scholars keep doing what's right, but there is certainly a feel-good movement, especially on show business that is greatly influencing trends and opinions without any connection with the real world.
I speak only from my experience here. There are still "intellectuals" defending this brutal revolution and selling it to the world as a panacea. They obviously do not walk the same streets I walk or interact with the same people I do.
