Digital Ledger Technology

Bitcoin

  • As I study bitcoin through reading articles here and some of the rferences for articles here I am impressed with bitcoin as a technology and as a substittute for money.

  • However I am struck by the limitations of Bitcoin, and quite frankly by how Lightning is a solution, but wonder why Bitcoin doesn't fork to change into something which scales better or why bitcoiners don't move to other tokens with better technology.

  • What about privacy? We shold have the same privacy we have as with cash money.

  • What about transaction fees? Bitcoin fees are to high for a cup of coffee or a donut. We should have microscopic fees for microscopic transactions.

  • What about speed? We should have something as fast as handing someone a dollar in a dollar store.

Dash

  • I am new and learning, but why not something like Dash?

  • If your going to use a cryptocurrency as money, then smaller transaction fees and smaller transactions are key.

  • I know Bitcoin can be divided into satoshis, but the transaction fees are still in bitcoin, and they are not microscopic fees.

Stablecoins

  • I know stablecoins backed by dollars are evolving into government controlled spies in your wallet, and money which can be recalled and seized or frozen Scary, and not cool, so maybe we should be investing in stablecoins not based on dollars or euros?
  • What about HBD as a unit of exchange?
  • DO people do that? buy things with HBD?

Every bit of knowledge creates questions.

  • I am just asking, so I can learn.

  • Thank you.
