nicolas maduro's regime will go down as the most catastrophic administration in Venezuelan history. It will also be a case study in presidential mediocrity, corruption, violence, and cynicism.
Only the sick minds of a president responsible for the greatest theft in Venezuelan history and the most brutal persecution of political dissidents, and a first lady (or "first combatant" as they call her) whose depotism has no precedent in Venezuelan history and whose family has been involved in all kinds of crimes, including drug trafficking ( two nephews convicted of drug trafficking by a USA court and later released as part of a political exchange) could accept to be marketed as super heroes for poor Venezuelan children to love and admire.
Of course, when we see faces like this woman's, we know anything is possible.
They started with a cartoon where "iron fist" super mustache fights national and international (read USA) enemies. The kinds of oversimplications and fabrications depicted in this cartoon would be laughable if they were not so irresponsible and cynical brainwashing tools.
In this episode they attribute the great 2019 blackout that paralized Venezuela for days to a drone attack by the USA. The magical intervention of the super dictator saved the day and restored electricity in the whole country.
We might think that no kid in their right mind, let alone no parent, would believe such fabircations, but when we see the thousands of pictures like the one below where smiling parents proudly parading their kids in super mustache costumes, we know that anything can be possible.
They are frantically working on the iconographic aspect of their ideological bombardment. They are shamelessly filling every possible media kids are exposed to with hyperbolic images of an alleged leader who cares so much about his people that he can be considered a super hero. Now kids (of irresponsible parents who are gutless enough to allow them to have these) will see their "model" even in their school supplies.
The "baby Jesus" presents of these Christmas should be the straw that will break the dictator's back, but we know better. The fact that millions of parents across the country can't even afford to buy a Xmas present to their kids and that they are eagerly waiting for the government to provide one (there are hundreds of videos showing the fights that erupted in many places because of mishandling of the toy delivery ceremonies--Kids left out, kids with crappy toys, etc.) indicates that when you bury more than 80% of your population in poverty, you can get way with anything.
Even though they did not give every kid super mustache/cilita toys and, according to government sources, some 12 million toys (of all kinds) were given across the country, there is no reason to celebrate. This is far from a generous or charitable action. This is pure and simple adoctrination and political manipulation. This only proves that they will make anything in their power to keep the Venezuelan people poor and dependent. They know that a poor, desperate, and ignorant mass is easier to manipulate and will easily forgive and forget their "tresspassings."

These Caribbean Ceaușescu took 1984, The Art of War, and The Prince as bedside readings. Orwell's cautionary tale became their tyrannical manual. They have done disgusting things with the language that makes Newspeak look like the real thing being parodied.
Oh man that’s some crazy indoctrination that they are doing there. I’m not surprised though because this is the playbook of the elites right now. They are trying to go after the kids because that’s the easiest way to destroy and control a society. Get the kids to learn or do something specific you want and eventually it might come to fruition. The parents and grandparents are a harder fight so they go after the easy ones with manipulation like that. Sad state of affairs!
There is nothing free these days. You pay for it one way or another sadly. People don’t realize this and it’s annoying. The “free 10,000” towards student loans for Americans was such a farce. It has been delayed which is good but a lot of people are foolish enough to allow it and further ruin the economy.

They are succeeding here. There is a generation whose only referent of government is this abomination of quasi socialist manipulation. They are either content with or oblivious to a stagnant economy that requires a big State to "protect" their citizens by providing meager bonuses in exchange for submission and fidelity.
Hard work and independence from political alms is anathema to them.
