Four Nights!
That's FOUR NIGHTS in a row!
Four nights in a row, that our Internet services went down. The service provider sent their tech yesterday. They said that we should not change the password (for the admin, probably) and not to change any setup. Which is a load of bull! I'm been tinkering with a lot of modems for a long time. I activated the MAC filter, so I can make sure that there will be no unauthorized person can connect to our WIFI.
They even said, that the modem goes down because there are a lot of connections. Again, a load of bull! I activated the MAC-filtering precisely to prevent that from happening.
And why does the modem go down only in the evening? And the Red LED for LOS blinks. Which means, something is wrong with their Fiber Optic connection.
It's a miracle that the modem went up when I woke up this morning.
Had I been here, I would have given them a lecture on how these modems work.
Anyway, since they resetted everything, this means my MAC address filter has been erased. It doesn't matter though, because last night, the connection went down again. I think I will just have to look for another provider.
I apologize for the rant... Anyway, I think this is what this community is for. hehehe
