I wanted to do this & that

Hello everyone!
Happy Valentine's Day!

Today being Valentine's Day, I had a lot of things I felt like doing but couldn't just do. Some of them came to mind as I scrolled online, seeing different posts, and they automatically got added to my list. Wondering what the list includes? Check out the following:

I wanted to post a photo of my girlfriend on social media:
In my part of the world, it's a huge trend to post one's partner on social media on a day like this. Not only does it make the person feel special, but it also serves as a way to showcase one's partner. And it doesn’t just end there; a good number of people are online watching to see who is posted and to comment. It's such a day when people see the lady posted and go on to tell you that she is actually a serious girlfriend to someone else they know. The same applies to ladies posting their partners. In case you don’t get the gist, it means your fiancé might have another very serious fiancé when you think you are the only one. Crazy, isn’t it? Lol.

This is why I didn’t post because I don’t want to find out the truth. Ohhh! Do I have a girlfriend? Maybe I’m just saying. Think about it!

I wanted to record a video of myself singing.

Today, while online, I saw some singing posts with massive earnings, and I felt the urge again to make an entry into those musical contests. But as always, my shyness chased me back. Lol. I don’t know when I’m going to summon the courage to join a musical contest. It’s so bad because each time I come online and see those earnings, the urge and hunger grow so strong, yet my shyness always finds a way to conquer them. The surprising part is that I love music so much, but when it comes to singing publicly, my shyness scores me 0/100 without hesitation. Lol.

But come to think of it, have you seen the earnings on those musical posts? They are very tempting! Maybe I need to go and meet a 'babalawo' (voodoo priest) to prepare a potion for me shun my shyness

Have you noticed the trend of Nigerians buying items in shops with HBD?

I won’t lie, I get jealous (positively though) whenever I see my fellow Nigerians showcasing how they enjoyed shopping and paying with HBD. I wanted to experience that, but the shops where these events happen are only located in a few states in Nigeria, and unfortunately, none are in my state. I feel like those guys are ‘oppressing’ us with their regular ‘shakara.’ Lol.

I wanted to attend a Valentine's Day program in church:

The event was scheduled to start at 4:00 PM, and at 3:50 PM, a female friend of mine was still dragging me to go with her. But no, I refused. You know why? They were going to make us, the singles, feel very oppressed.

I wanted to write more, but I just realized that I am running out of time.

Thanks for reading.

You should have gone to the church event with the girl, who knows if she wanted to be more than a friend? :D

I’m glad to see that a lot of people are doing good things with HBD in various countries! That’s awesome!
