So, he came back :D
I am not sure when people started to treat animals as their company and help in work. For sure a long, long time ago, in the past. They became an inseparable part of the development of any civilization, right? Not sure what would look the society now, if there would no be animals in close connection with humans. But unfortunately, humans tend to overuse almost everything and end up dumping what doesn't bring them direct benefit. That's really sad, and even worse if we talk about dumping innocent animals. They are living creatures. Well, mosquitoes are also living creatures and I don't like when they bite me hahaha, maybe I should leave them to have their dinner - my blood - this evening on the balcony, as that is when they come 😆
So, pets - there are people who don't call pets as pets but family members. And really do according to that feeling. I think those would never dump them, but give the last penny they have if the kitty/dog/parrot would need medical treatment. Buying pets - why not adopt from a shelter, if they are so full already? No, I don't have a possible solution for irresponsible owners and poor killed/dumped animals, but I know I stop every time I see a cat, donkey, goat, horse, dog, squirrel or else on the street, forest, plot or else and try to give them some cuddles. Is it because I want to give them some love and attention or because of my own pleasure? Both of it probably.
Thanks for your extensive response 😉
Letting the mosquito bite is something indeed. I must say, I rarely kill a mosquito, perhaps because I usually don't have them in my house. When outside, I usually am already bitten before I notice the mosquitoes. That said I try and kill as little insects as possible. For instance, flies and such I catch and release outside. The same with adventurous spiders entering my home. Catch, move and release is my credo. Other insects are rarely in my eye side. I suppose whatever comes and visit me in my home, I'll give the same treatment: catch, move, release.
It is indeed very sad quite a few pet owners are treating their pets badly. On the other hand, it is super nice to see peeps treating their pets as if they are their friends or family. Although I would be very happy if we stop holding pets and find something else. A law change for the better of animals, I wouldn't be against it. In the meantime, I believe those mistreating pets shall be punished hard.
Just a few moments ago we had a visitor in the apartment. It's when we already guided him outside, to the hallway. A little gecko ☺️
Ah nice! In all its freedom little gecko can explore the world 🙃
