Some days back, I lost my phone. How it happened was I went to buy something in a nearby market, after buying I boarded a tricycle to take me home.
The tricycle took me to the gate of my home, I alighted, went in, and after a few minutes I realized I wasn't with my phone. Then I remembered dropping it on the seat of the tricycle. My heart flew!
I ran outside and couldn't find the tricycle anymore. It was discombobulating because I couldn't lose my phone now, all the information and passwords I haven't backed up, my God!
A part of the place where I live was under construction which meant there were a couple workers and manual labourers coming and going, and loitering about. I saw one of them I knew and told him I had just lost my phone.
He couldn't look me in the eye, he was looking so suspicious and uneasy. The other labourer he was with seemed in a very good mood. Without saying how I lost my phone the other labourer told me:
"Oh, you lost your phone? In that tricycle you just came in with, right?"
I said yes, and started wondering how he knew, I asked and he said he saw me come out of the tricycle. That didn't sound convincing to me. His good mood plus the way the other guy couldn't look me in the eye and how good this guess was made me feel very certain that these guys know something about my missing phone.
These guys are always loitering about, I was in the back seat of the tricycle and the driver stays in the front seat. If I leave my phone at the back seat the driver wouldn't know except he looks back which he has no need to do.
These tricycles have no doors, and remember it stopped outside my house where these guys loiter, it was very possible that before the tricycle moves these guys could have just put their hand inside and take out the phone because the driver in the front seat wouldn't even know.
This was the explanation I held onto, I could have sworn these guys knew something about my phone.
But I didn't want to fight them or anything, I just thought I'll use someone else's phone to call mine and when these guys pick up, that is if they pick up, I'll beg them and offer them some money in return for my phone.
Also I had a little doubt that even though it looks like these guys took it, they probably didn't.
I called the phone, the driver picked up and simply told me where he was, I walked quickly to where he was since it wasn't up to half a KM away, I got my phone and was very happy!
I started thinking about how it looked so much like those guys stole my phone, and I started to wonder how many people have paid grievous prices simply because it looked like they were the culprits when they were just innocent bystanders.
The End

The good part over here is that u didn't fight and have some patience in your mind for your home. Patience is the key to keep your mind calm and take the situation in hand.
