Commentary:
LoL, they must be putting cocaine in the ice cream. Yup, I know it is pretty good alright. I've seen it before, you get some older dogs in the pack, they wanna pick on the younger ones, some primitive shit going on.
It was at a Burger King at was at, some dude was tripping out because the order was a little off. Yeah, they have given me wrong food before, but I give no fuck, long as they put food in the bag basically. Yeah, maybe mistakes should never happen, and I win every lotto ticket I buy too. Not to say a person shouldn't be trying their best not to make mistakes, but they will happen inevitably. Some people do take it a little too far when a place of business makes a mistake. "Ohh, they got my order wrong! This is my opportunity to unload shit on them! It's been at least 2 hours since I have asserted my dominance on anyone!" I think there is a difference between a reason to complain and a right to be abusive.
I find, nice simple orders typically work out well.
Yeah, 2 burgers, 1 soda. Then they ask me all these complex questions. " Oh, what kind of burgers?, you want to combo those or just one of them? You want extra shit on the burgers? What kind of Soda? Every question increases the odds of a mistake lol.
If I had to guess, the best way to order, would be to use the names on the the board.
If you have a big order, I'd almost dare to say your best bet for an accurate order would be to pretend you can't talk and have it all written down on a piece of paper for them.
How about closing time for a business? A place ran by a business owner would probably say, "we close after the customers are done spending." What would a hired manager running a big corporate franchise say? Probably something like, "closing is closing, can't have the stuff here forever, they will be getting itchy for overtime. We need to get everything cleaned and reset for tomorrow. We advertise our hours so that everybody knows."
If Dairy Queen closed at say, 8pm, and I showed up at 7:59, would it be reasonable to expect them to squeeze me in? I would be grateful if they did, but I don't think I should be mad if they didn't. Is it what time you arrive in the line up or line or cars or would it be the time when you made it to the front of either of those lines? The world can't be built around the whims of one person can it?
Sidenote:
If you order Cola, more than half will come back with, " is Pepsi ok?" It's like, Pepsi is Cola, and Coke is Cola, they are both Cola. One of those things your Grandma will know. But after like 50 year plus of hard advertising I think Coke and Pepsi really trained us to say, "Coke" or "Pepsi", how many people say, "Cola"? It's a daring term to use I suppose because it almost suggests that, Pepsi and Coke are no better than one another? And they really are not are they? I personally think, they are both carbonated, sugared to death, candy water.
The Cola flavor is still sort of a mystery, if I had to guess, I'd say the flavor part of it would resemble, cinnamon, lime, vanilla, orange. What do you think the Cola flavor consists of?
What do you guys think? Do you have good relations with all your fast food places? Do you have any food ordering strategies that seem to be working? What's the best way to handle it if your order isn't right? How do you think an operations closing procedures should go?
Sorry but I haven't ordered fast food for many years LOL I would like to think though that getting the order right is probably a good thing! I think getting in there as they are closing is certainly risky, people want to go home so I wouldn't trust the food I'm getting lol
Yeah that makes sense to me. Making a habit out of fast food isn't really the best idea. I think you're right, showing up to slide under the door isn't exactly being smooth. Society runs like clockwork, timing seems to be everything.
