I regularly take a garbage bag and pick up garbage while out hiking. I make a game with my son: one point per piece of garbage, any size, and the most points wins. Around our house is pretty clean now, but we're always out to different areas doing the same, and there's no shortage of weird junk in the woods. We have a bag limit but don't get charged by weight so it's not a big deal to dispose of. I can't say I would do that if charged to dispose of it, though.

I agree with you, if we wouldn't have to pay per kilo to dispose off the garbage, I would pick it up myself too. I can't stand to see it. And I really feel that much more people should do that, besides that people have to get more awareness. But yeah, I'm afraid that's also an utopia to think that will ever happen.
There is seriously much wrong in the world these days. And I don't see that change any time soon.
