RE: The gatekeeping in Ecency

Are you telling me that your team can recognize ChatGPT's work and downvote it? Yeah, right. Nowadays, not even experts can distinguish between ChatGPT's work and work done by PhDs.

The indisputable fact remains and you don't even try to deny it: your curation team has established a practice of downvoting short posts with selfies i.e. precisely those that ChatGPT cannot replicate. This practice creates an obstacle for genuine user-generated content and encourages the submission of fake AI-generated texts.

I haven't even mentioned ChatGPT. Again, word count is not a criteria for us.

You're free to only upvote selfies from now on though. I'll wait until you find out about Midjourney.

Numerous tools exist for generating AI-generated images, apart from Midjourney. However, one common factor among all these tools is that AI still struggles to produce convincingly fake pictures. Even if AI advancements make it possible in the future, detecting fake images remains relatively easy due to their unnatural uniformity, colors, saturation, and other telltale signs. On the other hand, AI-generated text has reached a point where it is nearly impossible to distinguish from human work.

Make sure to inform your curation team about this reality. It seems they are still operating with a mindset stuck in 2016.

I'll just leave this here

the first one and also some more are even from before the AI mania :>

@pharesim

greets to you both xd

Thank you for your infinite wisdom. Curators surely never heard of AI. I'll make sure to let them know!

That doesn't affect our downvotes though.
