in MUTERRAlast year

To keep the MUT inflation in check and to make Mole Miner more competitive and fun to play, we are planning to roll out the following changes mentioned in this post. Please give it a read and shower us with your highly appreciated feedback.

NEW TOKEN

  • ORE will be the new Hive Token that will partially replace MUT in mole miner game.

  • Once the update is live, players will start getting ORE from their mining site instead of MUT.

  • All upgrades will still cost MUT token and not ORE.

  • ORE will be used to purchase and upgrade CONVERTERS (explained below), which can then be used to turn ORE into MUT.

CONVERTERS

To convert ORE into MUT, players will need to purchase CONVERTERS. They come in 6 rarities from common to mythical and can be bought using ORE.

You can buy only 1 of each rarity and then keep upgrading them individually for better output.

Each converter has a conversion capacity. It is the maximum amount of ORE that can be converted into MUT in one go. Then a 12 hour cooldown period is applied before a conversion can be made again.

Upgrading your converters will increase their conversion capacity by an amount that's based on their rarity.

Here are the details regarding each of the converters :

COMMON CONVERTER

  • Purchase Price : 100 ORE

  • Conversion Success Rate : 0% - 50%

  • Conversion Capacity : 50

  • Upgrade Cost : 100 ORE

  • Cooldown after conversion : 12 hours

  • Conversion Capacity increase per upgrade : 1

UNCOMMON CONVERTER

  • Purchase Price : 150 ORE

  • Conversion Success Rate : 0% - 60%

  • Conversion Capacity : 50

  • Upgrade Cost : 150 ORE

  • Cooldown after conversion : 12 hours

  • Conversion Capacity increase per upgrade : 1.8

RARE CONVERTER

  • Purchase Price : 250 ORE

  • Conversion Success Rate : 0% - 70%

  • Conversion Capacity : 50

  • Upgrade Cost : 250 ORE

  • Cooldown after conversion : 12 hours

  • Capacity increase per upgrade : 3.5

EPIC CONVERTER

  • Purchase Price : 400 ORE

  • Conversion Success Rate : 0% - 80%

  • Conversion Capacity : 50

  • Upgrade Cost : 400 ORE

  • Cooldown after conversion : 12 hours

  • Capacity increase per upgrade : 6.4

LEGENDARY CONVERTER

  • Purchase Price : 600 ORE

  • Conversion Success Rate : 0% - 90%

  • Conversion Capacity : 50

NOTE : As soon as you purchase a converter your CART will start losing it's durability. Explained in detail in the CART section below.

divider3.png

CART

CART is a mechanic that will have 3 major impacts on the gameplay of Mole Miner -

  1. Stop inactive players from getting ORE/MUT
  2. Active sink for MUT
  3. Inflation check

As soon as a player purchases a converter, a CART is issued to the player with 100% durability and CART mechanics come into play. Here are the details :

  • With every collect action, durability of CART goes down by 2%
  • Durability of CART impacts 2 things -
    • Mining Rate
    • Amount of ORE collected by the player
  • CART can be repaired back to 100% by paying a small fee in MUT
    • The fee is based on the level of the mining site

Impact on Mining Rate

  • Every time a player collects ORE from mining site, the mining rate reduces by 2% of maximum mining rate of the player.

This keeps ORE inflation in check and also forces players to keep repairing their CART, thereby creating an active sink for MUT.

  • If no collect action has been performed by an account in the last 48 hours, irrespective of whether the player has bought a converter or not, CART will start losing its durability at the rate of 1% per hour till it hits 0.

With this mechanic in place, any inactive player will stop producing ORE and after a while there will be no more ORE left in that account's mining site to steal from.

Impact on ORE collection

Let's say an account has 50 ORE in its mining site and the current durability of the cart is 70%. If the account performs the collect action without repairing the CART back to 100%, then only 35 ORE (70% of 50 ORE) will be issued to the account.

This is a mechanic that introduces a depreciating factor in the game. It puts pressure on the player to keep repairing the cart or compromise with lower ORE collection and mining rate.

REPAIR COST

As mentioned above, your CART loses 2% durability every time a collect action is performed. You will need to spend a fixed amount of MUT to repair it back to 100% durability. The amount that you need to pay for repairs is tier based.

Repair Cost based on your Mining Site Level :

MINING SITE LEVELCOST
1 - 50.5% of maximum capacity of mining site
6 - 101%
11 - 152%
16 - 203%
21 - 254%
26 - 305%
31 - 356%
36 - 407%
41 - 458%
46 - 509%
51 onwards10%

If you have bought a converter of any rarity, only then you have to worry about your CART's durability and its repair cost. Once a converter is bought, it is assumed that the player has started earning MUT and can afford paying the repair cost of the CART.

Active sinks are imperative to the tokenomics. Well done!

Sounds complicated, but I'm not following the mole miner game that closely, so maybe it is simpler for someone already keeping up with it.

No, you're right. Even for me, a player, it sounds complicated.

It only sounds complicated as the working has been explained in this post. But its really very simple. Instead of MUT, you will get ORE. That's it. And we have provided a provision to change ORE into MUT.

Ahh, ok! I might hold off on buying that provision for a while, at least.

the cart seem as a good idea.
This is sure to affect the current inflation.
At the same time it keep the game interesting.

didn't like the conversion idea.
It seems that the game requires more and more luck and investment.

one Q- how i suposed to buy CONVERTER with ore if my site cant hold enough ore? (how much ore can site say lvl10 can hold?)

ORE is directly issued to your wallet when you claim it. So even if level 10 mining site can hold a maximum of 10 ORE, you can simply use the collect action multiple times till you are ready to buy a CONVERTER.

The luck factor or RNG is not applied to collect action. So you'll get the amount you are collecting. It's only when you try to convert ORE into MUT, RNG comes into play. It acts like a controlling factor for MUT production.

great its sound good!

Sounds confusing, and I think it will stop people from Mole mining

Its not confusing at all. The game is exactly the same. Instead of MUT, you'll get ORE and there is a provision to convert it if you wish to do so.

I don't think the ORE part is confusing it's the carts with the randomness and the degrading. Trying to figure all that out sounds confusing. But as I said in my comment some people love all that stuff so I guess some people will love it and some will hate it.

Personally I find this too complicated and will probably stop playing but that is just me as I do not like to try and work everything out. I know some people love it though!

Having said that I will give it a go in case it is easier to understand once it is live.

I just started playing miner today. Sounds interesting.
