You are raising a gentle man! At this age he is very concerned and can’t imagine how he is gonna be in the future I am sure he will make you proud.
It would also be a waste and impractical to buy new ones, so I brought the pair of shoes to a shoe repair shop.
It’s true some people just throw away stuffs when they are old or torn like they have no attachment towards it. Anyways, it’s their personal choice can do nothing about that. But I like it when someone is conscious about not wasting 😊.

I don't throw things easily specially when they have special value and if they are my favorite. And with shoes I'd love to have it fixed than go to waste.
