People love to dream. It is not harmful at all. It's bad not to dream. You can dream of a beautiful and rich life, you can dream of great love ... you can dream about anything ... too often I have mentioned the word "dream", it means that the time has come.
Today is a winter day, Sunday, but why am I thinking about a time machine? I would venture to suggest that every person at least once in his life dreamed of going back in time ... to the past. Someone needs to fix something, someone would like to know something, and someone is just curious from childhood.
Yes, today is not Friday, but I remembered #MarketFriday by @dswigle and decided to combine the two topics in one post. However, this is one topic. To get to where we are going now, you don't have to buy an entrance ticket. The time machine is free. But to try to do something ... yes, both before and now everything was bought and sold, nothing new.
Well, fasten your seat belts, we start (to create a greater illusion of the old time, I processed the photos in the style of old pictures, I hope you will like it).
Of course you have had to taste food cooked on a live fire. At least once in your life you have cooked a kebab. But I'm not sure you had to roast a whole ram over a fire.
I'm not sure if you can smell the smell in the air by looking at pictures from the past. You can take my word for it, it was quite tasty. But enough about food already, otherwise you will soon run to the refrigerator in your kitchen.
I was not alone in the past. The time machine worked tirelessly that day.
But most of all I was drawn to the open fire. Perhaps this is the memory of ancestors. I would not be surprised if in one of my past lives I was a blacksmith.
Modern forges, of course, differ in appearance and in their instrument. But the principle of fire and iron remained the same. Only a true craftsman can make the right forging.
This sign reads "Do not feed the Knights." You ask, where are the knights here, why can't I see them? And why can't they be fed?
This is, of course, a joke, but the knights were here too. But I don’t want to mix medieval life and military prowess into one heap. Let the knights show themselves in a separate post.

I love this post @bambuka!! You have graced me with such a wonderful post, filled with dreams and life as it was known, once upon a time. My great grandfather was a blacksmith in a small village in New York Long Island. He foraged iron posts for fences and everything that there was. I loved his work and often wondered if one of my kids would become a blacksmith, even part-time. Such an honorable trade, That is when quality counted.
This looks like a wonderful day, filled with things dreams are made of! Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday! I cannot tell you how pleased I am to see so many participating every week. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for it. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the New Year finds you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.
#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers markets and eventually branching out and evolving over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact of what is these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.
Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:
Take pictures! Be creative!
5. Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it
7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post. If you don't and someone reads it, there is nothing to tie #MarketFriday to that post.
As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!
I'm glad you liked my time travel @dswigle.
Of course, these are only dreams, but it's good that people are able to dream.
Blacksmiths have always enjoyed special honor. The shamans of Buryatia even have special initiations: fire and iron, which means blacksmith. Perhaps one of your grandchildren will turn their attention to this art. Who knows... :)

Blacksmithing is a truly fantastic art. My son had an opportunity to take a day long blacksmithing class and he came back with some fun things. I'll agree with you on that; if I could go back in time I might like to be a blacksmith too.
Fire and iron ... this is our story. Someone forged swords, someone horseshoes for horses and plows :))
I still like to make knives for myself, but I use a scissor machine ...
By the way, in Buryatia the highest initiation of a shaman is a blacksmith :)

.I really like the first picture. It took me a moment to realize it is taken nowadays. The girl in the white dress and the woman in the blue skirt are so authentic....the man with the hat kind of takes me back to now :) Great retouch of the images, they really take you back in time.
Glad you liked it))
The reconstruction was really successful, if not for the crowd of tourists, you would think that you really got to a different time))

.The situation there looks like it was in ancient times, but it's very pleasant, and it's all free from the sophistication of the age of technology. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
we all once lived in those centuries and we have a memory of those things and circumstances.
Therefore, we love all the antiquity))

I think so too, it all started from ancient times.
