Ending the week with a Strawberry Smoothie and a Captivating view of a Bonsai Garden!

It's seldom that we go outside on a Friday Night. Though weekdays have been busy and a little stressful, my therapy for this long work week is to just stay home, rest on the couch the whole evening and watch my favorite TV shows, or play with my little girl.

But this one Friday I am sharing is beautiful and different because instead of lazing on the couch, my hubby suggested that "Why not go outside for something refreshing, step out into the night air, and treat ourselves to an ice-cold smoothie?" The idea alone and the feel of a cold drink in my throat energized me.

In the next few seconds, we found ourselves driving to one of the budding cozy cafes in town, the Kapennara.

One Strawberry Smoothie please!

As soon as we arrived at the cafe, I was automatically soothed by its peaceful atmosphere and refreshing night ambiance. The soft music, the lights, those tiny old trees, and the open sky were I think the best things I needed this Friday! My feet wanted to roam around and explore the beauty of this place at night right away!

So I directly went to the Cafe to order some drinks, before I change my mind. Honestly, at that time, I just wanted to stroll around and indulge myself in this Cafe's unique and tranquil garden, I decided to just have a smoothie since we already had our dinner at home.

I checked on the menu for their most affordable smoothie and was happy to see the cheap price. I ordered a Strawberry Smoothie that cost 150Pesos (2.7USD). While waiting for my order, my eyes roamed around the interior of the cafe. It is my first time to come here at night time (the last time was in broad daylight together with my co-teacher) and I was surprised that the place looks even more beautiful, vibrant, and cozy at night. I felt the wonderful warmth of the cafe that makes it feel like home.

It's not too long, I got my order and hurriedly went outside. I was excited to roam around at the same time sip and drink the smoothie on my hand!

The Bonsai Garden

What made this Cafe special and unique is its stunning and carefully crafted Bonsai Trees that made the whole place serene and picturesque.

There are hundreds of varieties of Bonsai in the Garden. Most of them are planted in earth-colored pots making everything look so natural. Almost all of the Bonsai Trees are familiar to me because I saw them in the mountains so I was surprised to discover that those trees have a miniature version that is now in front of my eyes.

These living works of art are too captivating that will really make someone fall in love with this garden and the Cafe. But they are not for sale, they are for display and Bonsai Shows and Competition Entry.

The presence of these Bonsai Trees evokes a sense of harmony, balance, patience and creativity. And while strolling along these masterpieces and drinking my smoothie I felt the magnificence of nature brought into this small corner.

The Cafe Courtyard

Another beautiful resting spot in this Cafe is its courtyard filled with benches and tables and a kiosk that is adorned with beautiful bonsai trees. One has definitely great choices of where to stay and enjoy his food and drinks.

We had a great time in the cafe. I felt refreshed and energized. It's amazing how we get to experience these in just a small amount that we spend. I think we just had the best kick-off on our weekend!

I did enjoy it! It was a wonderful reprieve from the normal evening. That strawberry smoothie looked delicious. Even better was the atmosphere that this place invoked. What started off as a regular quiet evening at home developed into a tranquil soul enriching event. That place was really nice at night!!! I imagine during the day also, but, it sure looked special when you went!

I find that sometimes the simplest little things make such a big difference in our life. Yes?

It is important to do something for you that stimulates YOU. 💜 If your husband offers it up, even better! Did you remember to drop your link on my post? :)) Thank you so much for taking us with you!

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.

Thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday
