Hi Denise. It's fascinating everything you tell about the Chincoteague ponies, and it must be a lot of fun to attend that auction. If I had a place to have them, I would love to have one of those ponies. Although I have seen in another comment one has been sold for 30k. That's a lot of money for a wild pony. Wow!
Here is my entry for this Market Friday

Have a wonderful weekend :)
They are wonderful ponies! It is a lot of fun to attend the entire week! The roundup, the pony beach walk, the swim, the auction, and the parade, then the auction and the swim back for the moms and buybacks going back to the other island.
I didn't get one until I had a proper place, but, I did not pay 30K. I did however put money into the one that was 32K It was a charity donation. There are many of us that get together and donate money for a pony that is donated back to the Fire Department, to help support all of the ponies. It is a buy-back pony - it goes back into the herd. I don't know if I help you understand or confuse you more. There might be 100 people who donate on this one pony.
It is for the cause, not because it is worth that much. :)
Thank you so much for your support!
#MarketFriday loves you!
Hello, Denise. I understand and it seems to me a lovely cause. That island and all the events around those wild ponies must be amazing. So nice you could enjoy the week there. 🤗
Thank you. Your words are always so sweet and filled with kindness. Have a wonderful night.
