It can be noisy, but, it actually wasn't that night. I am not sure why, especially as they had 5 - yes 5! birthdays that night. It has actually been voted the noisiest/loudest restaurant. I swear to God. It is always busy, there are always lines no matter where in the country I am. So, I guess some people don't mind, but, I clearly understand what you are talking about.
I usually get a booth, when we go, but, that shouldn't make much difference. I agree, anyplace that is that annoying, I wouldn't go either! Oh, for the love of God, your mom is funny!🤣
Getting someone to mow three acres? Not bloody likely. I leave when I get up and I am there before 9, so it really isn't too bad. I don't mind it. I get to say hello to the neighbors and look at the peach trees blooming and the rest of the trees... it is quite uplifting to go. The grass is slow growing, so there is no emergency to get there, but, I enjoy it when I do.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving your words!
#MarketFriday loves you!
I didn't know they were ALL noisy, so their interior must be designed that way, with the tall ceilings and whatnot. We are beside a college town and this one was crowded as well. I guess I thought it was just here. The couple of times I was there, we had a booth too. Last time there were 6 of us and the booth was very roomy and accommodated us well, however, I had no idea what the conversation was if it was not with the person beside or across. I felt like I missed a lot of the visit and at this time, I have no issue with my hearing...LOL .... but what is the point of going for a meal and a visit with the fam, if you can't visit ? !
Yeah.... Mom's funny.
If I have to drive 4 hours to mow, I'm going to want to stay the whole weekend and enjoy the shore. I'm glad you enjoyed it though. That is all that counts.
Normally we all go, or a few of us. It is not nearly real spring yet, so growth is slow and we had all been there just the other week, doing a green sweet, spring clean-up. I do get to enjoy the shore, even more in recent years, especially with covid. Nobody was working and it was like having a vacation. Oh, wait, that wasn't me, that was my family. LOL Anyway. I guess if there is no traffic, it can be 3 1/2 hours. :)
I have been to a few different locations while traveling. If there is no great place to eat, I will fall back on that because I know I enjoy their food. I would like to say that the college adds a little more noise, but, I am not sure you would notice either way. There were a few places like that in San Antonio, but, I would say that it probably is the acoustics of the building. Most don't mind and some even like it. I am always with one or two people, so the seating is close, maybe? I am thinking 6 would put us too far apart and I wouldn't be able to hear as well.
There are too many nice places to choose from, I have to agree that if your visit isn't a good experience, they would get a thumbs down. I experiment with the way they serve their butter at home. I just love it. :)
