It is a quick hop by plane from the Northeast. It was my go-to place when I was in college.
The view from above was even better, but, didn't want to climb that one and have a camera. I could have gotten up another, but, have done that before, so I skipped it this time.
The pink sand was washed away by Hurricane Bill ten years ago and this last time the sand was a nice shade of pink. In years past, it has been there, but, barely. Now it is apparently pink!
I would never expect you to stay on the touristy paths. That is for tourists. ;) Far and away is usually the best way. Glad you feel the same.
Now, we need to get some more book stores installed. Pronto. Thanks for stopping by and reading, leaving your words and link behind!
#MarketFriday loves you! ❤️
Indeed, suddenly a lot of interesting places become close by 😉 living there.
I understand, certain places you just need to go without anything. Safer and nicer to view without distractions… hehehe 🤭
So it comes and goes the pink sand. Interesting 🤓 it does look stunning.
We are the same in that way, touristy spots… nope not for us 🤩😎 let us experience the country, a place and the locals. Take it all in and embrace it fully. 🥰 the only way!
Yes… we sure need too. Maybe a project for when we settle down 🤓😉 would be cool… in many ways 📚📚📚
You are very welcome, good to be back again and joining in 😎😁👋🏻
Have a wonderful Friday Denise!

That is why it can be taken away by hurricanes if they are strong. The sand does too sometimes. I lived on the beach in Florida for a year and a hurricane took 75% of the sand and washed it away. They had to truck in the sand!!!
Glad you got back safely and had a wonderful time!
Yep, knew how sand is formed… and can for sure imagine something that strong taking it away. I see that here sometimes. Because it is getting dryer by the year. If it rains. It doesn’t go in the ground anymore. The floods come off the mountains all the way to the sea and take everything with them along the way. Including half of the beach. Crazy what nature can do and the force behind it. Before tourist season starts they truck in new sand… but this sand here is basically grinded building waste. 😳
Thanks for the extra information Denise 🥰🤗
That must have been scary in Florida. I never experienced a hurricane yet.
Your kind. I’m back safely and soooo enjoyed it. Can’t wait to share more 😊😉
Have a wonderful evening! Big hug 🤗
Oh!! I forgot about coming off the mountains! That is where mudslides are born here!
Yes, I know… crazy things. Since I’m in Spain they getting more and more every year. At least here in the south.
Everywhere, I hear! I think it is the overly abundant rainfall that we have been having in the last few years.
You are probably right Denise. Everywhere there are shifts in the weather… even climate.
